Choosing Tiles for High Traffic

Hey everyone, I’m redoing the floors in my entryway and kitchen and need some advice on tiles that can handle high traffic. I’ve got a bunch of kids and pets running around, so durability is key. I’m considering either porcelain or ceramic, but I’m also wondering if there’s something more durable or easier to clean. What do you guys think is the best option for high-traffic areas? Any specific patterns or finishes that hold up better over time?

For high-traffic areas, you’re definitely on the right track thinking about porcelain and ceramic. Porcelain tiles are super durable and often more resistant to scratches and stains, which is a huge plus if you’ve got a busy household. Ceramic tiles can also be a good choice, but they might not be as tough as porcelain. If you’re in Toronto or the GTA, I’d recommend checking out Dream House Tile https://dreamhousetile.ca/ . They’re experts in tile installation in Toronto and the GTA and can offer great advice on which tiles will stand up to heavy use. They even have some awesome options that are both stylish and practical, so you don’t have to sacrifice looks for durability.
